Welcome to our Vietnam adoption blog! I have been keeping a journal of this amazing journey to our child, but was somehow reluctant to start our blog. - 7/25/06- I-600A filed (immigration preapproval)
- 8/16/06- Fingerprinted
- 12/19/06- Homestudy meeting #1
- 1/19/07- Homestudy home visit
- 1/27/07- Adoption Class
- 2/17/07- Change country to Vietnam (immigration)
- 2/19/07- Apply to our agency, PLAN
- 2/22/07- Homestudy sent to BCIS (immigration)
- 3/4/07- Most of dossier (adoption paperwork) done
- 3/5/07- Get police, employment letters
- 3/06/07- Get I-171H (immigration preapproval)!!!
- 3/7/07- Sean takes dossier to Madison for certification
- 3/12/07- Sean gets certified dossier (Madison)
- 3/12/07- Dossier to San Francisco Vietnam Consulate for authentication
- 3/15/07- Dossier arrives at PLAN
- 3/19/07- Dossier is sent to Vietnam - We are DTV!
- 4/4/07- Our dossier is logged into Vietnam DIA or IAD?
- 5/12/07- We still anxiously await referral (the match)!
- 05/16/07- Referral of our baby boy!
